Volunteers are essential to Torquay Museum Without Walls.

It is our goal to make volunteering as enjoyable for you as it is valuable for us.

Currently we have over 15 volunteers contribute to the work of our mission. If you have enthusiasm, enjoy history and exploring, as well as being a life long learner, then volunteering with TMWW may be for you.

We seek volunteers from diverse backgrounds to help tell the story of all from the Torquay region. From working with schools to working behind the scenes on records or scanning photos, every volunteer brings meaning to the work that they do.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Torquay Museum Without Walls.

Explore the opportunities below to see what some of our volunteers are currently doing.

We have divided our volunteer positions into two categories:

  • Specialist Team

You’re a specialist who wants to contribute a specific skill or area of expertise to our volunteer team. You’ll work on projects involving marketing, grants research, website development, digitization, writing, historical research, photography or other skills-based activities.

  • Project Team

You want to help out where you are most needed. You’ll play a core service role on one-time or short-term projects, such as events, data or evaluation entry, proof reading, editing, digitization and mailings.
